Date: July 12th 2010
Home-workers Drop-in Session
Church Croft (in the grounds of St Bartholomew's Church in the High Street)
Weds 21st July, anytime between 2 & 4.30pm
This is a very informal get-together with the opportunity to call in for a quick coffee/biscuits or to stay and chat for longer - it's entirely up to you.
No pre-booking required.
Working from home can have many advantages, but it can also be quite isolating at times. Home-workers can often miss out on opportunities to converse with others and network in the same way as those who work in a more populated environment. The aim of this new venture is to provide a venue where people who run businesses from home can meet up informally with others in the same position, and to encourage a social and business support network throughout the local area.
Whether you are a Chamber member or not, employed or self-employed, full or part-time, and whatever type of business you are in - anyone who works from home in any way is welcome to come along. Refreshments are free to Chamber members, with a small donation being all that is requested from non-members to cover costs.
It is hoped that enough home-based businesses will be interested in getting this new venture off the ground for it to become a regular event.
