1)   West Coast Swing DWAS at BritRock
Dance With A Stranger - West Coast Swing fun Finals Category. Two tracks will be played a slower one and a quicker one, both of around 3 minutes long. Partnering up will take place 10 minutes after the dinner break and the competition itself just after the MJ DWAS finals.

2) Business merger - BritRock Awards

The BritRock Awards comes to you via Sarah Johnson, proprietor of Sarah's Modern Jive and director of BritRock Ltd. Sarah's Modern Jive is in a transition process and is merging with BritRock Ltd incorporating the name
'BritRock Modern Jive Dance Company'.

In the South East we hold excellent weekly classes, monthly dances, monthly workshops taken by Simon Rich & Nicole Beckey and numerous fabulous Black Tie Balls.
Accommodation is inexpensive in Eastbourne if you care to stay over we will be recommending places to stay.

The competitor and spectator entries this year has been excellent.

4) Last day to enter

In order to process your applications comfortably all entries are to be in by 12 midnight Tuesday 27th October. After this the Schedule of the day is made up and the competition becomes difficult to alter. Sometimes it is possible to accommodate late entries but to avoid disappointment we recommend you enter ASAP.

5)  Dance Shoe Company
At the last minute our Dance Shoe Trader has had to pull out, does any-one know of a shoe company that would like to take this slot?

2 masseur's will be available Friday night and all day Saturday

6)  Photography
This year Ian Oliver is BritRock's official photographer. Ian has a very affordable portrait price tariff and a cd selection option that sounds a brilliant idea. For a nominal amount you select photos of yourself and he will put them on CD.

7) DVD

BritRock has commissioned the same video company as last year, I think you'll agree it was a high quality product.  Both Brain Fernley and Ian Oliver will be taking footage and photos from Friday night BritRock Horror Ball as well as the Competition. Advanced bookings of DVD are £20 in advance, £22 at BritRock or £26 then after.

1. Friday Night 30th Oct Halloween Ball
   Fancy dress costume optional, (Neil will be Herman Munster complete with 6" shoes making door staff about 6' 11"). There will be illuminated haunted Castle scenery, Ballroom Icebreaker lesson with Sally & Gordon, mini DWAS competition, Andy McGregor's quick Time Warp fun class and prizes for the best dressed costume judged by Andy McGregor and his ghastly ghoolies!

2. Full day ticket Sat 31st Oct
   Competitions will run throughout the afternoon and early evening pausing for a dinner break at 6.30pm. The thrilling excitement continues at 8pm with the finals finishing around 9.30pm with prize giving and Showcase winners performance. There will be regular slots of freestyle music interspersed throughout the day and competition rounds, plenty of shopping opportunities with shoes, a portrait photograph, clothes, jewellery or indulge in a hydrotherm or seated massage. There is something for every one all day throughout.
   Day pass £22 in advance £25 on the door, available on-line, includes evening Finals & Freestyle until 1am. Book in a group of 10 and get one free
    

3. Sat Night Finals & Freestyle
   If you have a day pass then your ticket includes the evening freestyle. If you can't make the day then you can purchase an evening ticket and see the amazing finalists battling for their place and enjoy the freestyle dancing & celebrating with some of the best dancers in the UK. 7.30pm - 1am.
   £10 in advance £12 available on-line,  entry from 7.30pm
