BritRock Awards, the annual 'Independant Modern Jive Championship October 2009' has to have been the best one yet.
BritRock Halloween Ball
Thank you to all of those that came to our Ball you will see form the photos that a brilliant time was had by all, dressing up costumes, the time warp, a DWAS competition and the most amazing dances probably ever in my life. Congratulations to Eastbourne dancer Pippa in her bat costume who was in the last 4 in the Dance with a Stranger competition. Also to two more Eastbourne dancers Lisa and Kevin who won the best fancy dressed girl and guy.

The Saturday Competition
Was simply awesome! with the most competitors BritRock has ever enjoyed. Huge thanks to the team of Eastbourne/Bexhill helpers without which the event could not be possible. Also extending these thanks to the stage team and floor managers Music Director Sally Pownell , MC Gordon Pownell, Scrutineer Andy McGregor, Neil Breckell Security and the fabulous Judges.
West Coast Swing
First time ever we had a West Coast Swing DWAS category, after they partnered up baby Isobel the 1 year old sporting her Halloween cat suit, threw the dice for the competitors to move round to their competition dance partners. A cute moment captured on DVD.
