DYD 2010 Freestyles

This year Dance Yourself Dizzy is holding more freestyles than ever before. As well as our regular Totton freestyle on the second Saturday of every month we also have a second Totton date most months being held on the 4th Saturday of every month. Our other venues have not been left out of the freestyle events list either. Winchester Guildhall now has at least 1 freestyle every month (except for late summer), sometimes they will be our regular freestyle format using the magnificent King Alfred Hall, where our Tuesday night classes are held, and sometimes they will be our 'Grand Ball' format complete with 2 dance floors and the ever popular, huge, chocolate fountain. The first Grand Ball for this year is the 'Bond Ball' - License to Thrill on Saturday 6th March, more details below. Monday nights Basingstoke venue will also be the home of a greater number of freestyles in 2010 with the first of the year being held on Saturday 17th April with at least 1 freestyle a month thereafter. All in all it's a busy freestyle year for Dance Yourself Dizzy so please check out our Events Page regularly for all the latest dates and events.

James Bond Ball

"Do you expect me to talk?"........ "No Mr Bond I expect you to dance!"

On Saturday 6th March 2010 at Winchester Guildhall, we will be holding our next double hall freestyle... our James Bond Ball. Doors open from 8.00pm - 11.30pm, and the event is of course James Bond themed! Dressing up is not compulsory, although we won't mind if you do!

There will be not just 1, but 2 dancefloors! In the main King Alfred Hall a non-stop, floor filling, mix of music that you come to expect from any Dizzy freestyle, whilst in the King Charles Hall there will be floor filling music, but only of the Swing, Latin and Blues type, with a dash of tango. Because it's a double hall freestyle, the huge Chocolate fountain will be back for this event!

Tickets for this freestyle are £11 in advance, or on the door (if any left) - available from any DYD night or Online Here.

Winchester Guildhall, Broadway, High Street
Winchester, SO23 9GH

Saturday 6th March 8.00pm - 11.30pm.

Lost Glasses

Two people who attended our New Year's Eve Ball at Totton, lost their glasses on that night. If anybody who also went to this freestyle has since found any glasses, please could they email danny@danceyourselfdizzy.com to let me know.

Here is the description of one pair... the frame was slim brown/tortoiseshell colour, thin. On the inside of one arm was an orangy spot! Oblong lense/frame rather than round or large. Polo Ralph Lauren was the make but thats taken from the case, I dont think its on the glasses.
