Dance floor etiquette
Top dancers at any club seem to have an invisible queue of men or women all waiting for a turn to dance with them. But everyone was a beginner once and most proficient dancers are kind enough to give beginners a turn on the floor. It is bad manners to try and monopolise a particular dancer at a dance club - they probably like to dance with lots of people.
 
This goes for couples too! If a couple only dance with each other the man will never learn to lead well because his wife or girlfriend will compensate for (or even anticipate) his mistakes - and vice versa.
 
At most clubs women feel relaxed about asking men to dance. It is gracious to accept any and all offers. But if you are leaving the dance floor tired and breathless then it is fine to decline an invitation courteously - just explain you need a rest.
 
On the dance floor - as in life - consideration for others is paramount. For this reason serious dancers often bring two or three spare T-shirts with them and possibly a small hand towel to remove perspiration from hands and face.
 
The dance provides such a good aerobic workout that  'sweaty back syndrome' is an occupational hazard. Considerate men spare their partners the inconvenience of excessive dripping on them!
