Our next Solid Gold Friday featuring classic Pop hits from the 60s 70s 80s, at Imber Court is Tonight 20^th Jan 2012.

We do not have another 60s 70s 80s night at Imber Court until next June so it would be great to see you at Imber Court Tonight

In 2012 the second Friday of every month is now Motown & Soul Nights 60s 70s 80s as in previous years

Winning Post R&R Club

What a great start to 2012, Last Friday Colin Paul & The Persuaders, drove over 200 miles to entertain our 150+ crowd at The Winning Post.

On Tuesday 17^th Jan Bernie Woods & The Forest Fires attracted over 120 for Mikes 70^th Birthday.

The night was so popular we have decided to make Tuesday Band Nights a regular thing from March This Year.

They will be on the THIRD Tuesday of every month

Entry will still be £6 (our regular Tuesday price)

Doors open at 8.00 till 11.30

Bands will play two sets at 9pm & 10.15

I will be Video DJ’ing when the band is not on stage.

Winning Post R&R Club

What a great start to 2012, Last Friday Colin Paul & The Persuaders, drove over 200 miles to entertain our 150+ crowd at The Winning Post.

They were fantastic, it was their first gig at The winning Post, but it will not be their last!

Our next band night is on Tuesday 17^th Jan it is £6 entry and features Bernie Woods & The Forest Fires.

Why only £6? – Well it is Mike Sheppy’s Birthday celebration , he organised the band so if you want to come along on the Tuesday 17^th to celebrate Mike’s Birthday we look forward to seeing you.

(Mike is a Tuesday Regular and was the first dancer on the floor when we took over the Winning Post on Jan 4^th 2005)

Our Next Friday Band Night is on 3^rd February and there is a change to the Printed line up.

Our Next Imber Court Motown & Soul Night is this week on Friday 13^th, Doors open at 8.30 (not 8pm till 12.30am as in 2011) last track is now 1am, Cost £7.50

These events are getting busier each month, making our mix of 60s 70s & 80s Classic Motown, Soul, Funk Reggae + some Northern soul a really popular night out.

In 2012 the Motown & Soul Nights will be on the second Friday of every month (instead of our 60s 70s 80s nights - see below for more info)

Our next Solid Gold Friday featuring classic Pop hits from the 60s 70s 80s, at Imber Court is on 20^th Jan 2012.

Although we had a really busy Christmas Party Night the 60s 70s 80s Classic hits events in October & November 2011 at Imber Court had our lowest attendance for 2 years, so we decided to make a few changes.

As mentioned above I will keep my 2^nd Friday of every month date at Imber Court, but in 2012 I will be playing Motown, Soul, Reggae, Funk, Northern Soul etc.

At the moment we will not be having regular monthly 60s 70s 80s nights at Imber Court but will have ‘one-off’ events. Starting on 20^th Jan.

Winning Post Christmas Party

This year our Tuesday R&R Christmas Party is on 20th December, theme is red & White doors opem 8pm cost £6

On Friday 16th December we have our Farewell Party from the 3Rs and A Christmas special featuring
Bernie Woods & The Forest Fires
Admission £10; Doors open 7.45, close at Midnight

Why a Farewell party?
Unfortunately commitments with our other clubs plus my private & corporate DJ bookings mean we would not have the 3rd Friday available each month to run the 3Rs in 2012.

When we took over the club last August we had already started arrangements for the 1^st 2^nd & 3^rd Friday in 2012 involving our other clubs.

We are really pleased that in a few short months we have been able to revive this great club and the 3Rs is once again a busy R&R event with 120 - 150 attending each band night (over 200 last month).

The 3Rs will continue in 2012 in the safe hands of
'Rockin-Rhythm' a Reading based organisation who run a number of Jive Classes in the area

In December our Winning Post Band night features The Jets plus Lights Out (who are the sons of the Jets band members)

This will be a busy & great rocking night so early arrival is advised

We have two more Band nights at The 3Rs in 2011 featuring two of the Jivers favourite bands, on Friday 18th November it is The Kingcats Plus DJ Rocking Billy

We have been advised that attendance at The Winning Post has been severely affected by the riots in London.

Although Twickenham area is not affected who knows what tonight will bring.

On Friday 24th June the existing management committee decided to stop running the 3R’s R&R Club, to avoid another R&R event closing we had no hesitation in taking the club over.

The 3R’s is on the 3^rd Friday of each month & has been established for nearly 20 years, we are honouring all existing band

So our first night as owners of this club will be on Friday 19^th August with Greggi G & his Crazy Gang Plus The Rocking Gold Stars
